We are extremely appreciative that AL-KO are supporting our club again this season. The support from businesses in grassroots football is essential in keeping the sport affordable and readily available to everyone in our area. AL-KOs contribution also ensures we can assist our volunteers in gaining additional coaching qualifications along their journey with the club and encourage new volunteers to step forward and start their journey with us.#DevelopmentGroups #girlsfootball #wildcats#youthfootball#ladiesfootball #walkingfootball#coaching https://al-ko.com/en/ ... As today is World Suicide Prevention Day, I would like to share something special that Mental Health Mates Walk and Talk - Beverley have done in memory of our own wonderful walker, Christine. After a long battle with her mental health, we sadly lost Christine in January. In her memory, Christine’s family kindly made a donation to Mental Health Mates to help us raise awareness and reach out to others.I wanted to do something special with this money and with her family’s permission and the support of Tickton AFC, we have sponsored the Tickton Comets’ training jackets for the forthcoming season. Both Christine and I struggled with our mental health from a young age and encouraging young people to talk openly and honestly about their mental health is something we are both passionate about.I hope that by wearing the jackets, this will encourage the girls, their families and others to have the confidence to reach out for help if they need it, breaking down the stigma and judgement attached to mental health. To anyone feeling lost or alone, I want you to know that no matter how dark today may feel, you are not alone and there people out there who truly understand, care and want to help. Reaching out for help is a strength, not a weakness and together we are stronger.Thank you Tickton AFC for giving us this opportunity.•Shout – text 85258 24/7 for crisis support•Samaritans – 116123 •Mind – 0300 123 3393www.mentalhealthmates.co.ukMental Health Mates ...
